In 1998, Lanka Rolls was founded in Matara, Sri Lanka, by Kandage Sriyalatha, a skilled chef renowned for her expertise in crafting authentic Sri Lankan Rolls. Her dedication laid the foundation for a beloved culinary enterprise. However, the journey of Lanka Rolls took an exciting turn in 2000 when she entrusted the business to her brother-in-law, W.W. Nihal Ranjith, and her sister, Kandage Chandralatha, who together propelled it to new heights.

Nihal Ranjith, deeply passionate about Sri Lankan cuisine, viewed Lanka Rolls as more than a business – it was a celebration of the country’s rich culinary heritage.
